Eddie, Len and Kim Wood have put together a special event for Friday night, April 1st, that will honor the original Wood Brothers, crew chief Donnie Wingo and driver Trevor Bayne. Race fans are invited to meet the 2011 Daytona 500 winning team from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Wood Brothers Racing Museum in Stuart, Virginia.

The original members of the famed race team, Glen Wood, crew chief Leonard Wood, tire changer Ray Lee Wood and jackman Delano Wood will all be on hand along with Wingo and Bayne to greet fans, friends and family.

“This is probably the first time the four of them have been together in a racing setting since 1965,” Eddie Wood said.

Described as his generation’s way of honoring the family, friends and fans that have stood behind the team during the thick and thin, Eddie wants to recognize everyone who has contributed to the success of the Wood Brothers.

“We just want to thank the people that have supported us through the years,” he said.

The Wood Brothers Racing Museum is located at 21 Performance Drive in Stuart, Virginia and will be open Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free.
