Juan Pablo Montoya parked his No. 42 Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing Chevrolet on the pole for Saturday's Crown Royal 400 in qualifying Friday at Richmond International Raceway. Montoya ran a lap at 128.639 mph to collect his seventh career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole.

Regan Smith turned in his career best qualifying performance to take the outside front row starting spot.

Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne and Mark Martin complete the top-five on Saturday's grid.

Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards, Joey Logano and Paul Menard line up sixth through 10th.

Saturday's Crown Royal 400 will be on FOX at 7:30 p.m. ET.
