Kyle Busch did it again Saturday night in Richmond. Out front for more than half of the 400 laps, Busch won his third straight spring race at Richmond in dominating style.
Denny Hamlin had a great week going with two wins in two nights on the home field but came up a little short of sweeping the weekend, finishing second in the Cup race to his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate.
A lot of carnage and a developing rivalry between Juan Pablo Montoya and Ryan Newman are also important story lines as the series packs up and heads south down I-95 to Darlington, South Carolina.
VICTORY LANE Joe Gibbs Racing – Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin finishing 1st and 2nd. Toyota’s – 5 of the Top 11 as Toyota continues the dominance at Richmond. A.J. Allmendinger – Kept clean to finish in the Top 10 and climb into a Chase Spot.
THE GARAGE Landon Cassill – Seemed like he was around a lot of accidents. Brad Keselowski – Just another bad race. Storyline that we will remember: Kyle Busch leading 235 laps to capture his second win of the year. Storyline that we will forget: Red Bull Racing having 2 cars in the Top 10.
