Carl Edwards led the final 10-lap dash to win the 2011 Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Saturday night. The Roush Fenway driver won three of the four segments that make up the All-Star Race and crossed the finish line 0.443 seconds ahead of Kyle Busch.
Edwards pocketed 1.2 million for the victory.
"We just won a million dollars," Edwards said. "I can't believe we won this thing, you guys are unbelievable. The key to winning this race is the guys behind me."
Kyle Busch posted his best All-Star effort with a second-place finish.
"We finally finished one," said Kyle Busch. "We got beat by a faster car, it's disappointing but we know now what it takes to win one of these things and maybe we can get it next year."
David Reutimann finished third followed by Tony Stewart, Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, David Ragan, Kevin Harvick and Ryan Newman.
