Denny Hamlin topped the speed chart in NASCAR Sprint Cup Happy Hour Friday afternoon at Pocono Raceway. Hamlin toured the 2.5-mile triangular-shaped track at 166.125 mph in the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Brian Vickers clocked in second fastest with a lap at 166.067 mph. Carl Edwards was third followed by Brad Keselowski and Jimmie Johnson.

Edwards ran the fastest lap in the first practice at 167.729 mph. Paul Menard, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch completed the top-five in the opening round.

Sprint Cup qualifying at Pocono Raceway begins Saturday at 11:10 a.m.
