Kurt Busch led the 44 NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers participating in Friday's opening practice for Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. Busch completed a lap at 93.014 mph in the No. 22 Penske Dodge to top the speed chart.
Michigan winner Denny Hamlin was second fastest at 92.559 mph followed by Kasey Kahne, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex, Jr.
Sprint Cup qualifying is scheduled to begin today at 6:40 p.m. ET.
