Race to the Chase Update: Daytona Aftermath

Saturday night’s race in Daytona proved why it is one of the many wild card races in the first 26 events. You just never know what will happen and when it will happen. Overall this race took its effect on the Chase as we have a new point leader and we have a new winner in David Ragan.

Most importantly the battle to stay inside the top 10 is way tighter as Ryan Newman finds himself only three points out of the Chase, and only 39 points separates 7th-11th.

David Ragan is now one of those drivers hoping Jeff Gordon stays inside the Top 10 and that Hamlin moves into the Top 10 leaving both wild card spots open as he moved inside the Top 20 after his huge win in Daytona and would be one of the Chase Wild Card drivers if the Chase started now.
