Stewart-Haas Sweeps New Hampshire Front Row

"Rocket" Ryan Newman qualified on the pole for Sunday's Lenox Industrial Tools 300 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race with a record-setting lap of 135.232 mph. Newman's car owner Tony Stewart clocked in second quick to complete a front row sweep by Stewart-Haas Racing.

 

"Real excited for this weekend," said Newman. "This has been a good track for me. We.ve got a good start now we need to get the job done."

 

David Reutimann, who held the pole through much of the qualifying session, starts third followed by Penske teammates Kurt Busch and Brad Keselowski.

 

Jeff Burton, Jeff Gordon, Juan Pablo Montoya, Paul Menard and Kasey Kahne line up sixth through 10th on Sunday's starting grid.

 

Dennis Setzer, Scott Ribbs and Tony Raines did not qualify.
