This season seems like you never really know who is going to win in any of NASCAR’s upper levels. We have seen a few first time winners in all three of the top NASCAR tiers, which is always a cool thing,

I’ve said it before, but we are up to 13 different winners in 19 races in the Sprint Cup series; simply astounding. I really don’t recall this many different faces in Victory Lane, sometimes in a season, let alone 19 events……

Major congratulations go out to Kyle Busch for reaching a win total of 100 races in the top NASCAR series. With his win in Saturday’s Nationwide series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Kyle also tied Mark Martin at 49 wins in that series, the most in that series history.

Kyle did it in a few less races, so maybe that is the tiebreaker until he gets win number 50. Not if but when, and all at an incredibly young age. This kid is definitely history in the making….

Personally, I think it was a pretty cool story line today with Stewart Haas Racing not only swept the front row during qualifying, but went on to finish 1-2 in the race as well! Great weekend for that team for sure. To top it all, Mr. Stewart went off racing his sprint car on Saturday night, and Mr. Newman won the Whelen Modified tour event also at NHIS on Saturday as well. Cool stuff indeed……..

Equally amazing is how the new points system has kept the points so tight and for 3 weeks in a row, I believe; the points lead has changed. If this continues on through the chase, this might be the greatest point’s race ever. Maybe better than the year that Alan Kulwicki won the Cup…and that was great!

Until next week, be safe and keep the shiny side up!!
