Carl Edwards visited the USS Eisenhower Tuesday, one day after his 32nd birthday. The Roush Fenway driver landed on the ship's flight deck in a C-2A Greyhound and received a warm welcome from the crew, including a surprise birthday party.

Edwards was presented a large cake which he cut with a sword as the sailors sang their rendition of "Happy Birthday."

"I can't believe you guys got me a birthday cake,' Edwards told the crew. “It's the oldest I've ever been."
