It's official. Danica Patrick announced today she will run the full NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule in 2012 along with 10 Sprint Cup races. Patrick and her sponsor, Go Daddy.com, made the long-awaited announcement live via webcast from the internet domain and registration company's headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

Patrick is set to complete the entire 2012 Nationwide tour behind the wheel of the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet owned by Dale Earnhardt, Jr. A 10-race Sprint Cup schedule with Stewart-Haas Racing is also planned next season as she prepares for a full-time Cup effort in 2013.

"We prelimenarily have a 10-race schedule for her," said Tony Stewart. "We're tweaking a couple races here and there. Basically using next year to get her more acclimated to the the Cup cars, some of the tracks that she will be going to that she is not used to running yet and make sure we get everything in order for 2013 when we make the full push with her."

Asked about her plans for the 2012 Indianapolis 500 Patrick responded, "I love the Indy 500, I think it's the greatest race in the world. It's something that I love. We're just not sure yet if thats in the future or not but it is something we are considering." Patrick will wait until NASCAR releases the 2012 Nationwide schedule before making a decision on Indy.
