Carl Edwards led both of Friday's NASCAR Sprint Cup practice sessions for Saturday night's Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Edwards ran a lap at 121.528 mph in the opening practice then posted a fast lap of 120.354 mph in Happy Hour.

Mark Martin, Matt Kenseth, Brad Keselowski and Kasey Kahne completed the top-five in the first session.

David Stremme, Juan Pablo Montoya, Clint Bowyer and Keselowski followed Edwards in final practice.

Sprint Cup qualifying gets underway at 5:10 p.m. today.
