brad-keselowski-wins-bristolBrad Keselowski passed Martin Truex, Jr. with 80 laps remaining and pulled away to his third NASCAR Sprint Cup win of the year in Saturday night's Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“The night race at Bristol, this is the race Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt win,” Keselowski said. “This is the race of champions. There are races that pay more, races that might have a little more prestige, but this is the coolest one of them all.”

Keselowski has finished in the top three in the four races since breaking his ankle in a practice crash at Road Atlanta earlier this month, moving the Penske driver from 21st to 11th in the point standings.

"The last 100 laps, I certainly started to feel it," Keselowski said of the ankle pain. "But I don't think anyone wants to hear me whine."

Truex, Jr. finished second after a three-way battle for the position with Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Gordon looked to have the strongest car throughout the race but had to settle for third. "We just didn't quite have it there at the end," Gordon said.

Jamie McMurray, Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards and Marcos Ambrose completed the top-10.
