Tony Stewart went for broke in Monday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway and the gamble paid off big dividends for the two-time champ.

While Chase contenders Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman ran out of gas at the end of the 400-miler, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. conserved enough to make it to the finish line.

The last lap of Chicagoland's Chase opening event really shook up the point standings with eleven of the twelve championship competitors changing positions. Today's results could have a big impact on the outcome of the 2011 edition of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

The top-three finishers at Chicagoland, Stewart, Harvick and Earnhardt, Jr., comment after the race in this video review.
