Only a few short weeks ago Tony Stewart was struggling to maintain a position in the 2011 Chase for the Sprint Cup. After pulling off the win in Sunday's race at New Hampshire, Stewart is the second driver in NASCAR history to win the opening two Chase races and today holds an eight point lead over Kevin Harvick heading to Dover.
"The thing about this sport is things change week to week," Stewart said. "We focus on one day at a time and what we can do to make the most of that day."
Not able to put his finger on any one thing that caused his problems earlier in the season, the two-time champion is in the hunt and clearly focused on earning his third NASCAR title.
