NASCAR announced the 2012 Sprint Cup Series schedule Wednesday with only minor adjustments and no changes with the tracks that host the 2012 Chase for the Sprint Cup.

"We believe the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule will once again provide fans with what they've come to expect every season, the world's most exciting and competitive form of motorsports," said NASCAR chairman and CEO Brian France. "Next year's schedule has a few adjustments that we think will be good for the fans and good for the overall flow of the season. One thing will remain constant, however, and that's the intense competition we see week in and week out from our drivers and race teams."

The Daytona 500 kicks the 2012 season off on February 26, one week later than usual, while other schedule changes include Kansas moving from June to April 22 and swapping its Chase race date with Talladega in the fall.

Talladega and Richmond traded their spring dates and Dover will run after Charlotte's Memorial Day race. Phoenix and Las Vegas pushed their spring races back one week and Texas will run on April 14, 2012.

NASCAR is expected to release the 2012 Nationwide and Truck Series scheduled in the near future.
