Martin Truex, Jr. picked up his first pole of the season in Saturday's qualifying session for Sunday's AAA 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Dover International Speedway.
Truex, Jr. knocked Kurt Busch off the provisional late in the session with a lap of 159.004 mph. Kurt Busch will start on the outside after posting a lap at 158.983 mph.
Paul Menard, who led Friday's opening practice, lines up third with Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch completing the top five.
Qualifying for positions six through 10 were Jimmie Johnson, A. J. Allmendinger, Bobby Labonte, Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle.
Point leader Tony Stewart starts 28th and Kevin Harvick, currently second in the Chase standings, starts 22nd.
Mike Skinner was the only driver not making the 43-car field.
Sunday's AAA 400 is scheduled to go green at 2:15 p.m. and will be live on ESPN.
