As High Schools everywhere get ready for their Homecoming festivities, NASCAR is about to have their own homecoming this Saturday night at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Nationwide Series joins the Cup Series in Charlotte while the Truck Series stars are shining in Las Vegas.
Carl Edwards leads the Chase heading to Charlotte with Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski and Matt Kenseth rounding out the top five. The top eight is separated by 20 points but the championship is still anyone’s to win with the Chase field separated by 54 points. Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. remains your Nationwide Series leader with a 20 point advantage over Elliott Sadler with just four races remaining. Austin Dillon leads James Buescher by three markers in a close battle for the Truck Series championship.
Thursday kicks things off in Charlotte with Nationwide Practice at 2:00 p.m. which is followed by Sprint Cup practice at 3:30 p.m. Nationwide Happy Hour is set for 6:10 p.m. just before Cup qualifying at 7:10 p.m. Watch it all live on ESPN2.
Friday begins out west in Las Vegas with the Truck Series cranking up for practice sessions at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. followed by qualifying at 7:30 p.m.
Back in Charlotte Nationwide qualifying begins at 3:05 p.m. followed by back to back Sprint Cup Series practices, at 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. respectively. The Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage Nationwide race gets underway at 7:30 p.m. ESPN2 has it live.
Saturday’s Truck Series race in Las Vegas will be live on SPEED beginning at 3:00 p.m. with the green flag being displayed at 3:30 p.m.
ABC will have live coverage of Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 7:00 p.m. with the race going green just after 7:30 p.m.
