MWR drivers David Reutimann and Martin Truex, Jr. hooked up in a two-car draft and led Friday's Sprint Cup Happy Hour practice at Talladega Superspeedway with Reutimann clocking the fastest lap at 197.159 mph.

Truex was second quick at 197.143 mph followed by Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Kyle Busch had a tire go down late in the session that sent him into the frontstretch wall. The Joe Gibbs team rallied sending Busch out for several laps in a backup No. 18 Toyota.

The Ford's of Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards led opening practice earlier in the day with Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon and Marcos Ambrose completing the top five.

Sprint Cup qualifying for the Good Sam 500 begins Saturday at 12:15 p.m.
