Dale Earnhardt, Jr. came close to winning the spring race at Martinsville Speedway back in April and knows what it will take to visit Victory Lane in today's 500-lap race.

While keeping a cool head at Martinsville is a tough job, Dale, Jr. understands the importance of maintaining and the affect it can have on his effort at the end of the day.

"It's hard to contain yourself," Earnhardt, Jr. says of the close racing on the .526-mile oval. "If a guy gets into you more than likely you'll have the next corner to give it back to him and sometimes you do and sometimes you don't."

Dale, Jr. comments on this subject in today's video interview.
