tony-stewart-wins-martinsvilleTony Stewart passed Jimmie Johnson on the outside after a restart with three laps remaining to win Sunday's Tums Fast Relief 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway.

With today's victory Stewart moves to second in the Chase, eight points behind Carl Edwards with three races left to decide the 2011 championship.

"He better be worried. That's all I've got to say," Stewart said of Edwards. "He isn't going to have an easy three weeks."

Jeff Gordon finished third after leading a race high 113 laps in the wreck filled race that featured 18 caution flags.

"That was crazy, absolutely crazy," said Gordon.

Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin completed the top five.

Finishing sixth through 10th were Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Martin Truex, Jr., Carl Edwards and Ryan Newman.
