Tony Stewart captured his third Chase win of 2011 in Sunday's caution filled Sprint Cup race and afterwards thanked the Martinsville fans for their part in inspiring the two-time champion back to Victory Lane.

"There’s two places where when you take the lead that you absolutely know it, and it's Bristol and Martinsville," Stewart said. "To pass Jimmie Johnson on the outside with two laps to go and to watch the crowd on the backstretch and then watch them on the frontstretch when we cleared him, you swear people are going to fall onto the racetrack. You feel that energy. It's cool to know you've got that kind of support and it's just that extra drive that gets you the rest of the way that last lap. It's cool."

Johnson looked to have the race win locked up until Brian Vickers spun while attempting to retaliate against Matt Kenseth to bring out the final caution and put Stewart on the outside of the front row for the double-file restart with three laps remaining.

“At the end it was just frustrating to see the same few cars over and over cause the caution,  that was something we certainly didn’t want to see,” Johnson said, referring to the number of times Vickers was involved in the yellow flag being displayed.

Johnson’s teammate Jeff Gordon finished third after leading the most laps.

Stewart, Johnson and Gordon share their comments on Sunday’s race in today’s Martinsville video review.
