Tont Stewart’s 2011 Chase can be summed up in one word, fantastic. Stewart captured his fourth win of the season last Sunday in Texas, and is even more impressive when you consider that he has won half of the eight Chase races. Carl Edwards was in Stewart’s tire tracks crossing the line second and isn’t backing down without a fight.
The gap between Edwards and Stewart is just three points with Phoenix and Homestead remaining on the schedule.
Kyle Busch dropped to 11th in the Chase after being parked in Texas. Busch had a great regular season but looks like he will have another disappointing Chase run.
Now the Chase heads off to the land of the unknown as Edwards and Stewart continue their battle on the newly reconfigured Phoenix International Raceway where things certainly will heat up in the valley of the sun.
