Team Hummer drivers Nasser Al-Attiyah and Robby Gordon were one-two at the conclusion of Saturday's stage seven of the 2012 Dakar Rally with overall leader Stephane Peterhansel finishing third.

"It really was a perfect day for the Hummers," said Gordon. "It is obvious that our car is extremely fast on this type of terrain."

Gordon, who completed the first three stages in the top-five before tire problems relegated him to a 14th place finish in stage four on Wednesday, is third overall 13 minutes 9 seconds behind Peterhansel.

A day of rest will be observed on Sunday. The rally is scheduled to end January 15th in Peru.
