Danica Patrick, all set to make her first Sprint Cup start next month at Daytona, announced this week she will skip the Indianapolis 500 in favor of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
Calling it a "business decision" Patrick is obviously serious about her transition from IndyCar to NASCAR racing.
Patrick will drive in 10 races this season for Stewart-Haas Racing and team co-owner Tony Stewart said it was left up to her if she would compete at Indy in 2012.
It will be a busy season for the motorsports superstar who is also scheduled to run her first full season in the Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports.
