RCR will field the No. 33 Chevrolet on a part-time basis in the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with Elliott Sadler, Brendan Gaughan and Austin Dillon taking turns behind the wheel.

Sadler will be pilot the car in next month’s Daytona 500.

“It's great to be back in the Daytona 500,” said Sadler. “I've had a lot of success in this race in the past and want to thank General Mills, Kroger and Richard Childress for this opportunity.” “When we started putting this program together the first thing that came to mind is how strong RCR's plate program has always been. We're going to go out and have a legitimate chance to win the race. Speedweeks can't get here soon enough.”

Brendan Gaughan will then take over the next four races in Phoenix, Las Vegas which is Gaughan’s hometown track, Bristol and Auto Club Speedway. This is on top of the 18 race schedule Gaughan is slated to drive for RCR in the Nationwide and Truck Series. Crew Chief Gil Martin will lead the way as he moves over from the 29 crew to take charge of the part time effort of the 33 team. Gaughan will be sponsored by South Point Hotel & Casino.

"The opportunity to run four races for Richard Childress in the Sprint Cup Series is truly amazing,' said Gaughan. "RCR has top-notch equipment and teamed me with a winning crew chief in Gil Martin. Everyone deserves a second chance and I am ecstatic that my second chance in the Sprint Cup Series is in the No. 33 Chevrolet with RCR."

Austin Dillion will also be driving at least once race in the No. 33 with American Ethanol as his sponsor. No word on which race it will be.

It was also announced that road course ringer Max Papis will drive the No. 33 Nationwide Car at Road America when the Nationwide Series visits on June 23rd, and he will also serve as a driving coach to help his fellow teammates improve on their road racing skills.

"It is an honor to join a history-making team like RCR and continue what I started with Kevin Harvick Inc. the last couple of years," stated Papis. "I feel ready to win races in NASCAR and, at the same time, I'm honored to have the chance to pass all the experience I built in my last 20 years of competition around the world to real racers like Austin Dillon and Ty Dillon and doing it with my never-give-up attitude that brought me all the way here."
