After a successful outpatient procedure on his left knee recently Kasey Kahne expects to compete in all of Daytona's Speedweek events, including the Bud Shootout on February 18th and the Daytona 500 the following weekend, in the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.
Kahne underwent a partial medial-meniscus removal in Charlotte, North Carolina late last week and says he plans to run every scheduled practice and qualifying session leading up to the 2012 Daytona 500.
Anxious to get started with his new team Kahne is looking forward to his first full season behind the wheel of No. 5 after driving for RPM and Red Bull the past two years.
