Fifty-three year old Mark Martin earned his 52nd career pole award Saturday afternoon after circling the Phoenix International Raceway at 136.815 mph in qualifying for Sunday's Subway Fresh Fit 500.
"I can't tell you how thankful I am for Aaron's and everybody at MWR for giving me these awesome Toyotas," said Martin.
Tony Stewart clocked in at 136.126 mph to earn the outside front row spot with Regan Smith and Jimmie Johnson making up row two of the 43-car starting field.
Juan Pablo Montoya, Ryan Newman, Greg Biffle, Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano and Kasey Kahne fill out the top-10 on tomorrow's grid.
Timmy Hill was the only driver who did not make the field.
