Kyle Busch scored a crucial win in Atlanta on Sunday as he clinched a spot in the 2013 NASCAR Chase.

It is his fourth victory of the season, tying him with Jimmie Johnson. Matt Kenseth leads the Sprint Cup Series with five wins.

Joey Logano’s runner up finish moves him to eighth in the standings while Martin Truex, Jr., Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman all boosted their Chase chances by filling out the top five in Atlanta.

Three other driver’s clinched Chase spots Sunday, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and Kasey Kahne. They join Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Clint Bowyer and Matt Kenseth for the 2013 Chase that begins at Chicagoland Speedway in less than two weeks.

With just Richmond remaining in the regular season, the battle for the two Wild Card spots and a place inside the top ten is as close as ever with ten drivers battling it out for the six spots that are left.

Jeff Gordon, winless so far this season, is 11th, only six points outside of the top ten. Kasey Kahnes has two wins and rides 12th, ten points behind Gordon.

Richmond is a must see race and as usual the Chase won’t be set until the very last lap.
