Mike Bliss will replace Terry Cook in the No. 25 HT Motorsports Toyota Tundra in Friday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.
Bliss earned the 2002 Camping World Truck Series championship and has made five starts in the Truck Series so far this year with Key Motorsports. He also has been racing full-time this year in the Nationwide Series and is currently 6th in the championship point standings.
Bliss has one win, three top-5 finishes and seven top-10’s in his 14 starts at PIR. "Phoenix always proves to put on a good show in the Truck Series,” Bliss said. “I have a lot of fun racing in Phoenix so I am looking forward to racing there for HT Motorsports." Cook, who has earned four top-5 finishes and nine top-10’s this year with HT Motorsports in the truck series, parted ways with the team following last weekend’s race at Texas. "We want to thank Terry for his hard work and efforts for this HT Motorsports Racing team this year," Jim Harris, owner of HT Motorsports said. "We have worked with Terry on and off for a few years in the Truck Series and see him as a key component in building HT Motorsports to what it is today. He is a huge advocate for the series and we wish him the best in his racing career." MORE NASCAR NEWS
