NASCAR Truck Series - Jason White
Written by Lindsey Marks
Friday, 11 December 2009 00:00

jason-whiteVirginia-native Jason White is no stranger to NASCAR racing.

The 30-year-old has been making starts in either the NASCAR Nationwide Series or the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since 1999, excluding the 2005 season.

White began his career in go-karts and accumulated six Virginia state titles while also making a name for himself in the World Karting Association ranks.

He moved up to the NASCAR Busch Series (now the Nationwide Series) in 1999 making two starts for LAR Motorsports that year and then made two starts in the No. 83 Channellock Chevrolet with a career best finish of 21st in 2000.

2001 saw White make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut. He ran nine races including the first seven of the season, most with the National Wild Turkey Federation as a sponsor.

White made starts in both series the next two years but 2003 was certainly the busiest since he ran 23 of the Nationwide Series races that year.jason-white

In 2004, he was still in NASCAR’s number two series for four races, did not make any starts in either series the following year but made four races again in 2006.

He ran in one Nationwide race in 2007 and began his relationship with current sponsor GunBroker.com in the Truck Series that year. White has since committed to the Trucks, and his sponsor, and ran the full schedule in 2008 and 2009. This past season, he earned two top-5 finishes and four top-10’s, including a career best finish of 3rd in the Las Vegas 350 in September.

If the relationship with GunBroker.com continues, White will have the opportunity to improve on his best finishing position in 2010.
