Jason Miller Joins SS Green Light Racing

ss-green-light-racing-no-07Jason Miller has joined SS Green Light Racing and will serve as crew chief for the NASCAR Truck Series #07 team, according to a release sent out this morning.

Miller is an Indianapolis native who began his NASCAR career working with Andy Petree Racing in 1999 before moving to Bobby Hamilton Racing in 2002. Miller was a member of Hamilton's championship team in 2004.

Miller scored his first NASCAR Truck Series victory as crew chief for Donny Lia's winning performance at Mansfield Motorsports Park in 2008.

“The trucks are about racing and that is why I love the series so much,” Miller said in a statement. “I have always respected Bobby Dotter and what he was able to get from his team and drivers with very limited resources and we have talked a lot over the last several years. The timing for us getting together finally worked out and I am really happy to be with SS Green Light Racing for 2010.”

SS Green Light Racing team co-owner Bobby Dotter is pleased to have Miller calling the shots for the #07 truck in 2010.

“Jason is one of the hardest workers in the truck garage," Dotter said. "He’s a Midwestern guy who understands the big picture and he’s willing to put forth the effort to reach his goals. It’s hard to find people with his work ethic and dedication, Ken (Smith) and I feel fortunate to have him join our team.”

Driver and sponsor announcements will be made in the coming weeks leading up to Daytona, according to SS Green Light officials.
