Kevin Harvick, Inc. has announced the return of Tide to NASCAR racing, with the familiar logo set to appear on the truck of four-time NASCAR Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday, Jr. at Bristol as well as the #2 Chevrolet Siverado driven by Kevin Harvick at both Martinsville races in 2010.
Tide has quite a history in NASCAR racing, sponsoring Darrell Waltrip and Ricky Rudd in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in years past.
"It is going to be pretty cool to see those bright orange colors back on a race track," said Hornaday. "My firesuit even looks like Darrell's used to. I'm excited to be able to compete for Procter and Gamble and Kroger Food Stores. They have continued their support of KHI over the past few years and I am excited to have them on the No. 33 truck. We can't wait to get to Bristol and build on my finish there last year." NASCAR Camping World Series team owner Kevin Harvick is equally excited to have the Tide colors back on the track. "Having the opportunity to bring the Tide colors back to the track as a primary sponsor is an honor for KHI," said Harvick. "I had good success in the Truck Series last year winning my first Truck race in Martinsville last spring while carrying Procter and Gamble and Kroger colors. I'm ready to get back to short-track racing and bring Tide back to victory lane. Who knows maybe I'll even try the Icky Shuffle." MORE NASCAR NEWS
