Every driver races to win but in this weekend’s ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards Tire Kingdom 150 at Palm Beach International Raceway, driver Chase Mattioli has even more reasons to win, 100,000 reasons to be exact.
If Mattioli takes the checkers in the second event of the 2010 ARCA schedule, $100,000 will be donated to Clearbrook Treatment Centers. If he does not win, but takes a top-10 finish then $10,000 will be donated. The money comes will come from insurance annuities through Massachusetts based HCC Specialty Underwriters.
Clearbrook Treatment Centers have helped people who suffer from alcoholism and other chemical dependencies since 1972. "Addiction and dependency on alcohol or drugs affects us all," Mattioli said. "Everyone is touched by this disease and has family members, friends or acquaintances that are struggling with alcoholism and/or chemical dependency. No one, regardless of age, income, race or gender is immune. For years Clearbrook has been helping in a big way, and I hope our efforts on and off the track, and the attention of race fans, make a difference.” The Tire Kingdom 150 is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th.
