NASCAR Sprint Cup Series veteran, Kevin Harvick, and the runner-up in the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship, Matt Crafton, topped the charts in the two Truck Series practice sessions at Atlanta Motor Speedway today.
Harvick’s fast lap 31.180 seconds put him in front of Crafton in the first practice session while Crafton beat out Harvick for the top spot in the second session with a lap time of 31.054 seconds. Kyle Busch finished 3rd in the first practice followed by 2009 Series champion Ron Hornaday and Todd Bodine in 4th and 5th, respectively.
Former Motocross racer Ricky Carmichael was 3rd in the second session in front of Steve Wallace and Austin Dillon. The trucks will qualify tomorrow morning for the afternoon’s E-Z-GO 200 which is scheduled to broadcast on SPEED at 2pm ET.
