Harvick Wins Truck Race In Atlanta

kevin-harvickNASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular and Camping World Truck Series owner Kevin Harvick won the E-Z-GO 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

 

“It’s a lot of fun to come run these tracks,” Harvick said in Victory Lane. “I didn’t even let off for I don’t know how many laps there.”

 

Fellow Cup driver and Truck owner Kyle Busch finished 2nd while his former Billy Ballew Motorsports teammate Aric Almirola ended up 3rd.

 

“We’re consistent,” Almirola said. “We had a good truck today. We worked on it all day today and we came up third.”

 

Nationwide driver Steve Wallace finished 4th with Series veteran Todd Bodine in 5th. ricky-carmichael

 

15-time AMA champion Ricky Carmichael finished 6th despite feeling a vibration with only a handful of laps to go.

 

Timothy Peters, who won the season opener in Daytona, ended up 7th in front of Johnny Sauter, Rick Crawford and rookie Austin Dillon.

 

USAC regular Brad Sweet came home 12th and Geoff Bodine, just back in the States after his bobsleds won medals at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, finished 26th.

 

2009 champion Ron Hornaday blew a tire and ended up in the wall with heavy damage very early in the race.

 

The next event for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway on March 27th.
