Aric Almirola got by Todd Bodine and Kyle Busch inside of 10 laps remaining in the VFW 200 on his way to winning his second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Saturday afternoon at Michigan International Speedway. Almirola scored his first Truck Series win earlier this year at Dover when Kyle Busch ran out of fuel.
"This weekend we did it fair and square," said Almirola. "Everybody was on the racetrack, and I raced my butt off with those guys, so that was a lot of fun."
Todd Bodine, who led 33 laps, finished second with Kurt Busch taking third, Ron Hornaday, Jr. fourth and polesitter Austin Dillon claiming fifth. The VFW 200 featured a record 20 lead changes and a 40 minute red flag for rain after 38 laps were complete. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series return to action on July 11, 2010 at Iowa Speedway.
