With a fast lap of 23.963 seconds at 131.453 mph, Todd Bodine was at the top of the speed charts in the first of two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practices at Iowa Speedway today. His No. 30 Toyota Tundra bested second place driver Austin Dillon's No. 3 Chevy Silverado by only two-hundredths of a second.
Chevrolets dominated the rest of the top-5 with Johnny Sauter, Matt Crafton and Ken Schrader, who is behind the wheel of the No. 2 truck for Kevin Harvick Inc., completed the fastest five. Brian Ickler was sixth in the session followed by defending champion Ron Hornaday, Stacy Compton, Justin Lofton and Timothy Peters.
The Truck Series will be on track for their second practice at 3pm ET today followed by their qualifying session at 7:30pm this evening. The Lucas Oil 200 at Iowa Speedway is scheduled to begin Sunday at 1:30pm ET. MORE NASCAR NEWS
