Schrader Scores Top-10 For KHI

ken-schraderVeteran NASCAR driver Ken Schrader drove the KHI, Inc. No. 2 to a ninth-place finish in the O'Reilly 250 at Kansas Speedway Sunday, his first career start for the team owned by Kevin Harvick.

 

"I really can't thank Kevin, DeLana and the No. 2 guys enough," said Schrader. "We had a really good truck; I was pleased with all the changes the crew made. I drove a pretty conservative race, just trying to stay out of everyone else's mess. I'm not used to how hard you have to drive these trucks; I forgot how much fun it was. I am really thankful for the opportunity that KHI gave me today; we had a lot of fun and recorded another top-10 finish for the No. 2 and were able to keep the Owner's Points lead. That was our goal."

Lucky 13 Sauter Gets Second Truck Win

That’s what Johnny Sauter’s crew chief Joe Shear Jr. said over the radio as the No. 13 In Country Television/ “What A Horse”/ Curb Records Chevrolet for ThorSport Racing took the checkered flag in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway after an incredibly odd event.

 

“Spectacular,” Shear said in the post-race interview as Sauter celebrated his victory after the race.

Hornaday Nabs Truck Pole At Kansas

ron-hornaday-jrRon Hornaday Jr. will take the green flag from the pole in Sunday's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 from Kansas Speedway after running a lap of 31.916 seconds.   

 

Matt Crafton, who was third quickest in this morning's practice session, qualified second.

Dillon, Hornaday Jr. Top Charts In Truck Practice

Austin Dillon, grandson of Richard Childress, and Ron Hornaday Jr. topped the charts in the two practice sessions today for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Kansas. 

 

Dillon's quick lap of 31.976 seconds put him in front of Hornaday Jr. in the first practice session while Hornaday Jr. paced the second session with a lap time of 31.831 seconds.
