In dominating fashion, Kyle Busch proved Sunday that he can win at any track, any where. Busch was able to lead fifty-two laps en route to his eighth victory of the year during the Centurion Boats at the Glen.

Starting from the pole position after qualifying was rained out, Busch took the lead for the final time after Dale Earnhardt Jr. hit pit road under the second caution of the day on Lap 65. From there on out it was simply a matter of hitting his marks and not making mistakes as he drove away from the rest of the field.

On the final restart of the day, coming after a long red flag period and with only five laps to go, Busch was able to pull away from teammate Tony Stewart as he headed downhill and into Turn 1. Stewart was never able to mount a charge as Busch flawlessly made his way through the eleven-turn course.

“I knew he was going to be hard to beat," Busch explained.  "I was racing against the same stuff with Tony Stewart and Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota so I knew it was going to be hard to beat Tony (Stewart). He’s such a great friend and such a great teammate and I’m really going to hate to see him leave at the end of the year. He has been so fun to work with this year. I have to thank him, everyone at JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing), all of M&M’s, Pedigree, Combos. I have to thank the fans because they are the ones that make us race. Everybody out there -- I appreciate your support.”

With one of the sport's best road course drivers on his back bumper, Busch was able to keep his composure and avoid any mistakes. Quickly becoming one of the top road course drivers himself, Busch is three-for-four this year on the road courses. Busch captured the Cup Series race at Infineon in June, as well as the Nationwide Series event in Mexico City in April. He was also the runner-up in Saturday's Nationwide race at Watkins Glen.

The day ended up being a major success not only for Busch and Stewart, but the entire Joe Gibbs Racing organization. Denny Hamlin - the third JGR teammate - came home seventh, giving JGR quite a successful day.

Sunday's win marks the eighth time this year Busch has visited Victory Lane in the Cup Series. With four races remaining until the Chase begins, Busch now has eighty bonus points - more than any other driver. The 23-year-old driver is having the year of his career and appears to be very comfortable as the Chase approaches.
