Brad Keselowski will start from the pole for tonight's Food City 250 at the Bristol Motor Speedway after recording a lap of 120.566 mph to lead all of the 49 NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers who took time.
"I'm a little nervous because this is my third pole, and it seems like every time I qualify well, I don't race well," Keselowski said. "I started at the back [at Bristol] last year, so hopefully we will reverse the trend."
Keselowski won the Food City 250 last year from the 37th starting position. Keselowski was questioned heavily by the media about his plans for the 2010 NASCAR season after qualifying. "I'm really not prepared to address any of the rumors about next year," Keselowski said. "I'm here to race the Nationwide car and win with it tonight and I am not going to let anything get in the way." Carl Edwards clocked in second quickest at 120.444 mph and will start outside of the front row. Clint Bowyer will start third, Matt Kenseth fourth and Trevor Bayne fifth. Justin Allgaier, Brad Coleman, Steve Wallace, David Ragan and Ryan Newman completed the top-10 qualifiers for tonight's race. FOOD CITY 250 QUALIFYING MORE NASCAR NEWS
