Jeffrey Earnhardt is scheduled to be back in the seat of the Key Motorsports #40 Chevrolet for the NAPA Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race this Sunday, August 30,2009, at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada. It will be his second career Nationwide start. "I feel a lot better going into Montreal than I did going into Watkins Glen," Jeffrey Earnhardt said. "We've got the experience of making our debut at The Glen behind us and I'm looking forward to another road course. I've heard it's a really nice track and that the fans there are incredible."
The 20 year old driver made his NASCAR Nationwide debut earlier this month at Watkins Glen International, running in the top 20 for most of the race before being involved in a last lap incident and finishing 24th. "He did a great job at Watkins Glen," Key Motorsports crew chief Gary Showalter said. "He had a good top 20 run going and got caught up in that deal on the last lap. We are looking forward to working with Jeffrey again this weekend at Montreal." The #40 team is currently 23rd in Nationwide Series owner points and will be locked in the field at Montreal. Montreal will complete the original two race announcement made by Key Motorsports while sources close to the team indicate Jeffrey Earnhardt may drive car #40 in more events this season. Scott Wimmer drove the Key Motorsports Chevrolet to a 21st place finish in the Food City 250 at Bristol last weekend. MORE NASCAR NEWS
