Joey Logano captured the pole position for today's Copart 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, driving his #20 Toyota at a speed of 181.164 mph to beat JGR teammate Kyle Busch for the top spot. Kyle Busch recorded his best lap at 180.827 mph and will start second.
"It definitely comes at a good time," Logano said of his first pole win of the season." "We like to keep streaks alive for sure and one is to have a pole each year and we know we're obviously going to keep that alive. This is out of the blue for us but I think we're starting to learn so much about our mile-and-a-half and two-mile program that I'm confident the next one we go to, I think Charlotte, I'm pretty confident that we're going to have another car that can contend."
Justin Allgaier qualified third, Scott Speed fourth and Brian Vickers fifth. Starting sixth through 10th in today's race will be David Gilliland, Brad Keselowski, Mike Bliss, David Ragan and Kevin Harvick. Stanton Barrett, Jarit Johnson and Casey Atwood failed to qualify. The Copart 300 is scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm this afternoon. MORE NASCAR NEWS
