Carl Edwards will start from the pole for the sixth time this season in tonight's Dollar General 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race after circling the 1.5 Lowes Motor Speedway at 183.799 mph. Matt Kenseth posted a speed of 183.517 and will start second.

Justin Allgaier qualified third with a speed of 183.430 mph while David Gilliland drove the #1 Chevrolet at 183.318 mph to earn the fourth starting position. Current Nationwide Series point leader Kyle Busch will start fifth.

Erik Darnell, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Reed Sorenson, Brian Vickers and Joey Logano qualified sixth through 10th.

The Dollar General 300 is scheduled to take the green at 7:30 pm ET this evening and will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
