ricky-stenhouse-jrRoush Fenway Racing has announced their 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series crew chief lineup for drivers Carl Edwards, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and Colin Braun.

Mike Kelly will continue as crew chief for Carl Edwards and the #60 team after moving to that position with three races remaining in 2009. Ben Leslie, a longtime Roush crew chief, will work with Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. as he competes for the Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year title. Eddie Pardue will lead the #16 team with driver Colin Braun, who is also gunning for 2010 Rookie of the Year honors. Braun's former crew chief in the NASCAR Truck Series, Mike Beam, has been promoted to competition director of Roush Fenway Racing’s Nationwide Series operations.

colin-braun"I am looking forward to my new responsibilities and challenges,” said Beam. “It will be my task to make sure all of Roush Fenway's Nationwide teams are performing at a level to compete for the 2010 championship, as well as either Colin or Ricky winning the Rookie-of-the-Year title.  We certainly have the drivers, teams and support from the Ford Motor Company which will make our Nationwide entries capable of continuing Roush Fenway’s success in the series."

With two of his teams vying for the rookie award, team owner Jack Roush is counting on the experience of Ben Leslie to provide Stenhouse, Jr. the guidance needed to move forward in the Nationwide Series.

“I’m looking to Ben Leslie to provide stability from his 15-plus year NASCAR experience and give guidance to rookie driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and team,” added team owner Jack Roush.  “The addition of Beam’s position will provide more leadership capacity to our already successful on-track programs and day-to-day production efficiencies.”
