Logano Takes Stater Bros. 300 Nationwide Pole

joey-loganoJoey Logano led NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying at the Auto Club Speedway, turning the two-mile California track at 181.283 mph to take the pole position for today's Stater Bros. 300. Logano's teammate Kyle Busch qualified second at 179.906 mph for a Joe Gibbs Racing front row sweep.

 

Brian Scott, who was second fastest in Friday's final Nationwide practice, qualified third with a speed of 179.672 mph. Carl Edwards will start fourth and Greg Biffle fifth.

 

John Wes Townley, Brian Vickers, Kevin Harvick, James Buescher and Trevor Bayne will line up sixth through tenth on today's starting grid.

 

brian-scottDanica Patrick will start the #7 Chevrolet from the 36th position.

 

Morgan Shepherd, Danny O'Quinn, Jr., Stephen Leicht, Johnny Chapman, Andy Ponstein and Jeremy Clements did not qualify.

 

The Stater Bros. 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race is scheduled to start this afternoon at 5:30 ET and will broadcast live on ESPN2.
