After making his 43rd career NASCAR Nationwide Series start, Penske Racing driver Justin Allgaier was able to keep ahead of his teammate Brad Keselowski for his first Series victory by a margin of almost two tenths of a second.
18 cars finished on the lead lap despite 11 cautions. 10 drivers were able to make it to the top spot at least once during the race. In addition to his teammate, Allgaier held off a gaggle of Cup regulars who were stalking the top spot most of the day. Kyle Busch finished 3rd followed by Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick in 4th and 5th, respectively.
Greg Biffle finished 6th with Reed Sorenson in 7th and Mike Bliss in 8th. Nationwide regulars Jason Leffler and Scott Wimmer rounded out the top-10. Joey Logano, who holds the pole for Sunday’s Cup Series race ended the Nationwide race in 14th while fellow Cup driver Kasey Kahne ended up a disappointing 32nd after being caught up in an accident. From Thunder Valley, the Nationwide Series now heads to Nashville on April 3rd for the Nashville 300 which is scheduled to broadcast on ESPN at 3:30pm ET. MORE NASCAR NEWS
