1993 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year and current SPEED personality Hermie Sadler has entered the Bubba Burger 250 Nationwide race at Richmond International Raceway Friday, April 30. Sadler will be behind the wheel of the No. 09 RAB Racing Ford Fusion.
"I am thankful to the RAB Racing team for giving me this opportunity,” said Sadler. “The Nationwide Series is where I have had the most success in my career, and I look forward to getting back behind the wheel at Richmond in front of my family, friends, and fans." Sadler has 19 career Nationwide Series starts at Richmond, posting two top-5's, three top-10's and seven top-15 finishes at the 3/4-mile oval. The Virginia native last competed in a Nationwide event in 2004.
“I’m very happy to be going to Richmond with Hermie in our car,” said Robby Benton, RAB Racing’s Co-Owner/General Manger. “He has a huge following, in and around the Richmond area. Having TNA Wrestling on the car should generate some excitement and gives us an opportunity to elevate our team’s exposure. We’re looking forward to giving Hermie an opportunity to have a great return to the Nationwide Series.” TNA Wrestling will sponsor Sadler's Richmond effort. “We’ve had a wonderful relationship with Hermie for a long time,” said TNA President Dixie Carter. "From hosting his ‘Hermie’s Hot Seat’ segments on TNA programming to even getting in the ring on occasion. We’re excited to team up with him for a great race in Richmond. The world of TNA and our fans are no stranger to NASCAR, and Hermie is a great partner in bringing us together,” MORE NASCAR NEWS
