Richard Childress Racing issued a press release today detailing changes in the Zaxby's sponsorship of the No. 21 NASCAR Nationwide Series car that started the season with John Wes Townley behind the wheel.
Zaxby's will be the primary sponsor of the No. 21 for 10 races and remain on the lower rear quarterpanels as an associate for the balance of the 2010 season, according to the release. Scott Riggs has been named to drive at Nashville next week and Kentucky the following week with Clint Bowyer in the seat for both Charlotte races as well as Daytona, Bristol, Atlanta, Richmond, Texas and Homestead.
"Zaxby's is a great partner so we're pleased to announce the continuation of our relationship," Ben Schlosser, senior vice president, business operations for Richard Childress Racing, said in a statement. "Zaxby's has a great product and we've already begun discussions about our relationship beyond 2010. Our current goal is for Clint or Scott, or both, to drive the No. 21 Zaxby's Chevrolet into the winner's circle."
RCR is currently seeking a primary sponsor for the remaining races on the schedule. MORE NASCAR NEWS
