dale-earnhardt-jrThe famed No. 3 has gone to Victory Lane at Daytona once more.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has won the Subway Jalapeno 250 at Daytona International Speedway driving a No. 3 Wrangler Chevrolet that resembles his Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s paint scheme from early in his career.

The car was a joint venture between JR Motorsports, Richard Childress Racing and Dale Earnhardt Inc.

"We lost everything here and to come back here with that number and win this it means everything," Tony Eury Jr. said after watching Dale Earnhardt Jr. cross the finish line in first place in the No. 3.

Fans in attendance held up three fingers to honor Dale Earnhardt Sr. prior to the event and Junior was a strong contender throughout the 100 laps.

He survived a late race charge from Joey Logano following a caution that lead to a two-lap dash to the checkers.

Logano finished second followed by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Brad Keselowski and Ryan Newman.
